Fourth edition of Vacations Expo and Maldives Food and Beverage Show kicked off on Tuesday.
Both the annual expos, organised by leading local event management company Highrise, were inaugurated by Thoyyib Mohamed, the Managing Director of tourism promotion body Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC). Top officials from Highrise and representatives from the travel industry as well as food and beverage sector attended the ceremony.
The entrance free expos are being held till the end of Thursday at the main convention centre of Dharubaaruge in capital Male. They are open for public from 2-6pm and from 8-11pm each day.
The Vacations Expo brings together leading travel companies, hoteliers, airlines, tour operators, travel agents, online travel companies, liveaboards, cruises, dive operators and other travel marketers under one roof. Exhibitors can display various attractive travel packages and services.
Ace Aviation Services Maldives, Inner Maldives Holidays and Ace Travels Maldives serve as principle sponsors of the 2019 edition of the expo, whilst Malaysia Tourism, Singapore Airlines, Korean Airlines, Mamnuz Travel, Maldivian, Voyages Maldives, Bangkok Hospital, Moodhu Holidays, Hajj Corporation, Al Ain Hajj & Umrah, Plumeria Maldives, Reveries Diving Village, SSI, Moodhu Bulhaa, Guesthouse Association of Maldives, Maldives Surfing Association and several other major industry stakeholders have showcased their best products and services.
Visitors also have the chance to win giveaways, including complimentary resort stays, guesthouse trips, air tickets and Umrah pilgrimage packages.
Meanwhile, the Maldives Food and Beverage Show brings together industry professionals, suppliers and buyers in an exclusive setting that aims to create more opportunities for business expansion. The show attracts domestic and international attendees from hotels, guesthouses, yachts, restaurants, food service consultants, manufacturing agents, brokers, distributors, equipment manufacturers and culinary experts.
Highrise, which organised both the Vacations Expo and Maldives Food and Beverage Show, has successfully delivered several local and international events, including Maldives Travel Awards, Maldives Film Awards, Maldives Living Expo and Sounds of Maldives.
