Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru has announced a major renovation project at its overwater villas, taking overwater living to a new height in the UNESCO sanctuary.
Cool, calm and exceedingly chic, the new water villas will have three times more exterior than interior space, seamless al fresco living, stylish modern interiors, an extended infinity pool and a bathroom with direct deck access. Guests can look forward to seamlessly fusing indoor and outdoor space for the ultimate ocean living from sunrise to sunset.
Indoor enhancements include:
- Reconfigured bathroom for direct deck access
- Inviting oversized couches and swinging sofa to complement the large-scale architecture of high ceilings and windows
- Seamless inside-outside wooden floors
- Elevated second floor lounge for modern loft-style living
- Newly decorated interior inspired by driftwood hues and UNESCO views
Outdoor enhancements include:
- 12-by-3 metre pool extending into the lagoon with poolside daybed
- Three times more exterior than interior space (total outdoor space of 180 square metres)
- Overwater hammock and steps directly into the blue waters
- Shaded oceanside living and dining pavilion with swing couch
To enable this transformation to take place, the resort’s water villas are not available to book from now to November 30, 2019.
In the meantime, guests can continue to enjoy the resort’s restaurants, spa, bars and bespoke experiences with a stay in any of its land-based accommodations – all located away from the water villa jetty and unaffected by the refurbishment effort.
Combining innovation, wellness and conservation, Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru is a 44-acre, 103-villa wonderland in the Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve — a 30-minute seaplane flight from the main Velana International Airport.
Its sister property, Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa lies to the south: an enchanting garden island complete with Island Spa sea sanctuary and Tropicsurf coaches and guides. It features 96 thatched beach and water accommodations constructed by local craftsmen using indigenous materials and techniques to reflect a true sense of the Maldives.
The luxury catamaran Four Seasons Explorer connects the two properties via three, four and seven-night cruises, plus private leisure, surf and manta ray charters.
The latest addition to the Maldives collection, Four Seasons Private Island Maldives at Voavah, Baa Atoll opened in 2016 as the group’s first exclusive-use private island: off limits to everyone else, limitless to the guests.
