Hotel Asia Exhibition and International Culinary Challenge 2017 is set to begin next month with a record number of exhibitors.
This year’s edition of the Hotel Asia exhibition is scheduled to be held from September 18-20, with the culinary challenge taking place from September 17-20 at the main Dharubaaruge convention centre in capital Male.
Hussain Rauf, General Manager of organiser Maldives Exhibition and Conference Service (MECS), told Sun Online that 600 participants would occupy 175 stalls at the exhibition. Over 2,000 brands from 35 countries would be showcased, he added.
“The secret to a record number of participants this year is the hard work and support of the team in the past 17 years,” Rauf was quoted as saying.
Alongside the annual exhibition, the International Culinary Challenge will take place at the courtyard of Dharubaaruge.
The culinary challenge has established itself as the premier culinary event in the Maldives, attracting chefs from local and international resorts whose work and creativity are evaluated by experts, including celebrated chefs from the world over.
