Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) together with Maldives tourism industry partners have returned to ITB Asia for its 12th edition.
The three-day travel trade show takes place October 16-18 at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.
Officials from MMPRC together with 32 industry professionals from 17 companies are representing the Maldives, with Thoyyib Mohamed, Managing Director of MMPRC, heading the Maldivian delegation.

The Maldives stand is located in K55 in HALL E, Basement 2. The 81sqm stand showcases the beautiful scenery of the destination and its unique culture.
Visitors to the stand will be able to experience the beauty of the destination through virtual reality. Visitors will also be able to taste local snacks such as the famous Addu Bondi, Kulhikaajaa and Theluli Bambukeyo.
ITB Asia provides a great platform to interact with Asia’s leading travel companies, industry professionals of Singapore and the rest of the South East Asian countries. This trade show is attended by many industry experts from around the world.
“As the ASEAN region is well connected to the Maldives, with several marketing efforts in the region, we aim to increase the arrivals and create significant market exposure. In this regard, ITB Asia will be a great platform to build professional ties with leading travel companies and industry professionals,” a statement issued by MMPRC read.

From January to August, tourist arrivals from Singapore to the Maldives was recorded at 9,139. This is an increase of 12.7 per cent over the same period last year.
