Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO) has hosted a training programme on digital marketing.
This training programme, organised by MATATO in partnership with Sri Lanka based McQuire Rens & Jones, took place at the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Studies in capital Male on Wednesday. A total of 35 travel professionals representing resorts, guesthouses and travel agencies took part in the training programme.
Meanwhile, MATATO will be hosting a second training programme on Thursday. This programme covers customer complaint handling.
McQuire Rens & Jones is a leading training institute based in Sri Lanka, featuring a popular portfolio of corporate training programmes.
MATATO selected two of those programmes after careful consideration of their success in Sri Lanka and the response from members and partner companies that have participated in previous training events.
The non-profit collaborates with McQuire Rens & Jones annually to bring their premium training programmes to the Maldives.
In 2014, MATATO collaborated with McQuire Rens & Jones on a social media marketing training event, which was executed successfully with more than 60 participants from the hospitality industry. In 2016, MATATO invited renowned speaker and bestselling author Dr Joel Freeman for another eventful programme.
