Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas has been recognised as the ‘World’s Leading Underwater Hotel Restaurant’ for the fourth consecutive year.
At the World Travel Awards Grand Final Gala Ceremony 2018 held at the historic Pátio da Galé in Lisbon on December 1, the SEA restaurant at Anantara Kihavah once again secured the position after beating three underwater restaurants in the Maldives.
This is the fourth consecutive year that SEA has won the award.
The multi award-winning SEA is part of the island’s unique dining complex, with four restaurants and bars – SEA.FIRE.SALT.SKY – perched out over the turquoise lagoon. Encompassing the world’s first underwater wine cellar, SEA offers international and Maldivian cuisine paired with Old and New World wines.

Anantara Kihavah Villas is just 35 minutes by seaplane from the main Velana International Airport. Following the scenic flight, guests arrive to a picture-perfect setting surrounded by the jewel-coloured waters and uninhabited islands of the majestic Indian Ocean.
Comprising 74 one-bedroom villas, four two-bedroom residences and a three-bedroom residence, each hideaway boasts large personal infinity-edge pools, dining pavilions, expansive wooden sundecks and ample lounging areas complete with swinging daybeds, hammocks and sun loungers.
