Jumeirah Vittaveli has appointed Shoumo Mukherjee as Director of Sales and Marketing, to lead the resort’s commercial division.

I am confident that Shoumo will be an essential part of continuing to amaze our guests, based on his previous experience in the luxury hospitality sector in the Maldives.”
An Indian national, Shoumo has in-depth experience in the Maldives hospitality tourism, having served as General Manager Sales and Marketing for Universal Resorts Maldives in the early 2000s. During his seven year tenure with Universal, Shoumo oversaw their resorts in the Maldives and Seychelles, and grew the group’s revenue by 300 percent.
Shoumo started his career with the prestigious Oberoi Hotels India, and added commercial success at a selection of luxury brands in India to his achievements. His expertise ranges from corporate sales, to online distribution, leisure sales, to casino management, as he improved revenue by more than 30 percent in his most recent role as VP Sales and Marketing for the Deltin Group in India.
