Thailand Tourism has confirmed as the co-sponsor of this year’s edition of Vacations Expo.
The third edition of Vacations Expo, organised by leading local event management company Highrise, is set to be held from July 5-7 in capital Male.
Thailand is a destination of choice amongst Maldivians.
There are three direct flights from Velana International Airport to Thai capital Bangkok everyday by several airlines, including Maldives flagship carrier Maldivian, Bangkok Airways and Thai AirAsia. Singapore Airlines also flies from Bangkok to Maldives via Changi International Airport, while SriLankan Airlines has twice daily flights between Male and Bangkok via Colombo.
Vacations Expo brings together leading travel companies, hoteliers, airlines, tour operators, travel agents, online travel companies, liveaboards, cruises, dive operators and other travel marketers under one roof. Exhibitors can display various attractive travel packages and services.
Previous exhibitors include Malaysia Tourism and Singapore Tourism as well as major medical tourism establishments from the region. Several local and international airlines, including FlyDubai, Singapore Airlines, Bangkok Airways, Maldivian and Flyme have participated in the previous three editions of the expo.
Visit and win lucky draws are also a major component of every edition of Vacations Expo. Exhibitors have previously offered prizes ranging from travel packages to Europe and special pilgrimage packages to the Muslim holy city of Mecca as well as trips to guesthouses and resorts in the Maldives.
The expo’s organiser Highrise has successfully delivered several local and international events, including Maldives Travel Awards, Maldives Film Awards, Maldives Living Expo and Sounds of Maldives.
