Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO) has released the first edition of Maldives Travel Agents Guide.
The first edition of Maldives Travel Agents Guide was launched on Sunday at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai.
“This is the first Maldivian travel publication launched exclusively for travel agents and MATATO takes pride in creating this platform for its members who will benefit from having the opportunity to expand and strengthen their marketing outreach,” a statement issued by MATATO read.
Maldives Travel Agents Guide is published annually and distributed at all the major international travel trade fairs and exhibitions. The purpose of the publication is to have a distinctive list of local travel agents that international buyers and travellers can explore and navigate through.
Listing on the guide is free of charge for all MATATO members.
MATATO already publishes an annual magazine, Maldives Finder.
First launched in 2011, Maldives Finder is distributed throughout the year at leading international travel exhibitions and events, and travel roadshows and networking events organised by MATATO. The publication is also widely circulated amongst the tourism facilities in the Maldives.
MATAO, a non-profit that supports local travel agents and tour operators through lobbying and training programmes, also organises the prestigious Maldives Travel Awards every year.
