A record number of representatives from the Maldives travel and tourism industry is set to take part in the upcoming ITB Berlin fair.
In a statement, Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) said its officials together with 268 representatives from 104 companies will take part in ITB Berlin 2018. Maldives Ambassador for Germany Jameela Ali and MMPRC’s Acting Managing Director Haris Mohamed will be heading the Maldives delegation during the fair to be held in Berlin from March 7-11, it added.
In constant effort to improve the participation in ITB, a pre-meeting was held on Sunday at Champa Central Hotel in capital Male. The meeting was arranged by MMPRC to provide detailed information to the industry partners attending ITB Berlin 2018.
ITB Berlin, the world’s largest travel and trade show, is the largest travel exhibition that Maldives takes part in. It is the most ideal platform for the Maldives travel tourism industry to showcase their products to the world.
ITB Berlin covers all aspects of travel and tourism: countries, tour operators, booking system developers, airlines, hotels and other businesses related to tourism.
