Cocoon Maldives has hosted a kite flying event in capital Male with Italian champion Edy Angelino.
The event, organised in association with the tourism ministry, was held Friday afternoon at the Central Park in the satellite town of Hulhumale. The two-hour event saw Edy showcase his amazing talent, including incredible kite formations and techniques, to the local crowd.
Edy is being hosted in the Maldives by Cocoon Maldives for a kite flying festival in the island resort.
The festival, organised in association with Free Vola Associazione Sportiva, began on September 29 and will go on until October 13. Everyday from 11-12am, Eddy will conduct an exhibition where he will showcase the kite imprints he uses. In the afternoon from 5-6pm, he will hold exclusive kite flying sessions.
A multiple flight expert with stunt kites, Edy runs Free Sport, a specialist sports kite shop in Italy. He has participated in several international kite flying competitions and won the Italian championship.
