Hurawalhi Maldives has introduced enhanced dining experiences at its 5.8 Undersea Restaurant.

According to the adults-only resort, the expanded offering features a wider range of unique tasting menus that bring together Chef de Cuisine Bjoern van den Oever’s ever-evolving creativity and the restaurant’s spectacular location, 5.8 metres below the ocean.

“Descend down the spiral, forty-two step stairway to enter the Maldives’ trendiest dining venue and send your senses soaring with the following options, each bound to live up to your expectations,” an announcement by the resort read.

The restaurant, which takes pride in being the world’s largest all-glass undersea restaurant, now entices with new four and seven-course lunch and dinner menus that introduce more variety of choice in terms of culinary preferences and enable guests to get a better taste of the restaurant’s exquisite character. These include:

  • An ocean of midday delights: four-course lunch, 12.30pm/ seven-course lunch, 12.30pm
  • Day to night: seven-course dinner, 6.15pm
  • Sprinkled with romance: seven-course dinner, 9.15pm

Officially inaugurated in January, the five-star Hurawalhi resort is accessible by a 40-minute scenic seaplane flight from the main Velana International Airport, and offers 90 villas, including 60 Ocean Villas and 30 Beach Villas, for grown-ups who are seeking luxury and innovation. The villas are stylishly and beautifully conceived featuring soothing décor, sumptuous linens on king size beds, bleached wooden floors, and private terraces with panoramic views.
