Lily Beach Resort and Spa Maldives has appointed Khumar Askerova as its Director of Sales and Marketing.
Before joining Lily Beach, Khumar, who has over 18 years of experience in the hospitality industry, had been working for international hotel chains in her native Azerbaijan.
“… Khumar will succesfully replace Desislav Gospodinov and further strengthen Lily’s position among the Maldives’ all-inclusive resorts,” an announcement by the resort read.
According to Lily Beach, an important element in Khumar’s professional and personal inspiration is her love for arts; she is a graduate of Music School, where she studied piano. Already at the age of 13, Khumar performed at a Mozart concert on the stage of the Azerbaijani state philharmony. The importance of music in Khumar’s life is also manifested in naming her now 17-year-old daughter Aria.
Khumar also advocates healthy lifestyle choices, practices yoga and sports, and minds her nutritional habits.
“Having worked in bustling metropolises on her previous work assignments, moving to the Maldives and finding herself on a quiet island is a dream come true for Khumar, as well as a realisation of her life motto: ‘Be careful what you wish for!” the announcement read.
“In these past weeks, Khumar has already got a sense of the place: she finds the team at Lily Beach to be sociable, optimistic, collaborative and possessing a ‘Yes, we can!’ attitude.”
Set on the island of Huvahendhoo in South Ari Atoll, Lily Beach is a 25-minute seaplane flight away from the main Velana International Airport. This five-star luxury resort, which perfected the Platinum All-Inclusive holiday experience, features 125 villas — both on land and over water — with private decks and open-air bathrooms with jacuzzis, canopy beds, glass floors and plunge pools.
In close proximity to some of the most amazing dive sites in the world, Lily Beach also offers a wide range of recreational activities and plenty of relaxation options.
