Cocoon Maldives has partnered with Italian kite flying champion Edy Angelino to host a kite festival in the island resort.
The festival, organised in association with Free Vola Associazione Sportiva, will take place from September 29 to October 13. Everyday from 11-12am, Eddy will conduct an exhibition where he will showcase the kite imprints he uses. In the afternoon from 5-6pm, he will hold exclusive kite flying sessions.
“This humongous event is open for all guests to take part in,” an announcement by the resort read.
A multiple flight expert with stunt kites, Edy runs Free Sport, a specialist sports kite shop in Italy. He has participated in several international kite flying competitions and won the Italian championship.
Cocoon Maldives, located in Ookolhufinolhu Island in Lhaviyani Atoll, blends the best of Italian design with the Maldives’ stunning natural beauty.
