Fifty three have applied for Maldives Boating Awards 2017.
Nominations closed on July 15 with 53 applicants, who have been put up for voting via the official website of the awards. Voting will close on Thursday.
Winners are selected based on 40 percent score from a panel of expert judges and 60 percent from online voting.
The official gala will take place in November.
Maldives Boating Awards are an initiative of Liveabord Association of Maldives (LAM) to recognise the strength of the boating industry and the services rendered by the service providers. Awards are presented in 25 categories across various sector and standards.
The awards aim to encourage and raise service standards within the Maldivian boating industry.
