Baros Maldives has once again been recognised as the Indian Ocean’s Most Romantic Resort by the World Travel Awards.
The prestigious World Travel Awards Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony took place at the five-star Sun Aqua Vilu Reef resort in Maldives on Saturday, with hospitality leaders from across the region in attendance.
At the ceremony, Baros Maldives was presented with the Indian Ocean’s Most Romantic Resort 2017 award. The resort has won the same award for the past two years as well.
“The winning of the regional award by Baros Maldives automatically qualifies the resort to be considered in the voting process for the award of the World’s Most Romantic Resort 2017, which the resort has won on four previous occasions,” a statement celebrating the resort’s win read.
World Travel Awards was established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the tourism industry. Today, the World Travel Awards brand is recognised globally as the ultimate hallmark of quality, with winners setting the benchmark to which all others aspire.
