Kuramathi Maldives has received the Certificate of Excellence 2017 by TripAdvisor.
In an announcement, the resort hailed the consistent and careful reviews by travellers and tourists alike.
“Though it is no easy feat, thanks to the hard work put in by team members of the resorts and by following a strict protocol to maintain service levels and policy, we have once set the bar high to aim further and to keep on improving” General Manager Abdul Latheef was quoted in the announcement, as saying.
Now in its seventh year, the Certificate of Excellence designation recognises establishments that consistently earn great reviews on TripAdvisor from travellers.
It accounts for the quality, quantity and recency of reviews submitted by travellers on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period. To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.
“This recognition helps travellers identify and book properties that regularly deliver great service. TripAdvisor is proud to play this integral role in helping travellers feel more confident in their booking decisions,” TripAdvisor’s Vice President of Industry Marketing Heather Leisman was quoted in a statement issued by the platform.
Kuramathi is one of the first resorts to open in the Maldives and is part of Universal Resorts of Universal Enterprises, a 100 percent Maldivian company and the pioneers of tourism in the Maldives.

Dining options are diverse with many restaurants, bars and great-value all-inclusive packages, topped off with Maldivian service – welcoming, genuine and friendly.
