Club Med has rolled out a new digital bracelet system to give more premium holiday experiences to its customers travelling to Club Med Kani and Finolhu Villas in the Maldives.
Designed to be more convenient and functional, this new high-tech wearable is embedded with an encoded chip, incorporating multiple keyless functions that allow guests ease of unlocking their room doors and card-less payment. Transactions are captured via mobile readers at most points of sales.
The waterproof digital bracelet is handed to guests upon arrival in the island and can be worn at all times, even while they engage in water sports or take a shower. Designed and manufactured with toxic-free and recyclable materials, the digital bracelet is child-friendly as well.

After the trial runs in the Maldives, Club Med plans to introduce the digital bracelet system in its properties across the world.

Occupying the island of Gasfinolhu, a 40-minute boat ride from the main Velana International Airport, Club Med Finolhu Villas features 52 villas — over water and on the beach — that line the sunrise and sunset sides of the island. The resort sets itself from other properties in the Maldives with its “eco chic” offering; built from sustainable materials and 100 percent powered by the solar panels that line the roofs of the jetties.
