Afeef Hussain has assumed a new role at LUX* Resorts and Hotels; the Regional Director for Training, Development and Quality Assurance.
Afeef, who was serving as the Director for Training, Development and Quality Assurance at LUX* South Ari Atoll before being appointed to the new post from this month on, is now responsible for the overall strategy and execution of all training, team building, organisational development and quality assurance initiatives at all LUX* properties in the Maldives.
A graduate of London School of Economics (Master of Business Administration) and Harvard Business School (Executive Education Programme on Business Administration and Management), Afeef has previously served as the Assistant Director of Training and Quality Assurance, and Training Manager at One and Only Reethi Rah in Maldives. He also led the development of Customer Service Programmes at Atlantis Palm Jumeirah.
Named amongst the 100 most influential HR personalities in the world at the World HRD Conference 2016, Afeef became the first Maldivian to receive such an honour. He is also the only John Maxwell-certified trainer in the Maldives and one of the few master trainers in the country affiliated with Ron Kaufman’s Up Your Service.
Afeef’s appointment as the Regional Director for Training, Development and Quality Assurance comes ahead of the opening in November of the second LUX* property in the Maldives.
