Dusit Thani Maldives has received the highest ever score by a resort in Maldives in the prestigious Food Safety Asia (FSA) Commendation Awards.
FSA is the first registered company in the Maldives practicing independent and impartial auditing of food preparation and safety systems. The FSA Commendation Awards began at the end of 2009 and was formulated to highlight and commend companies that have shown exceptional standards both in Food Hygiene and HACCP.
This year, Dusit Thani Maldives secured a score of 97 percent, its highest since opening in 2012. It is also the highest score ever recorded in the Maldives.
“Being the first and only resort in Maldives to acquire a remarkable 97 percent score in the FSA Commendation Awards is a great accomplishment and I am proud of the whole team,” said Dusit Thani Maldives’ Executive Chef, Cameron Steele.
“We take great pride in upholding uncompromising standards of food safety at all our restaurants and bars, so it’s great to have this recognised by this prestigious award.”
In order to be nominated for the FSA awards, companies must achieve an overall audit score consistently over 80-85 percent. Award winners are announced annually and receive a commendation award shield along with certification.
